The Ultimate Sugar-Free Hack: How to Make Guilt-Free Chocolate Salami in 15 Minutes
You won’t need to buy sweets in stores anymore.
Even though sugar-free sweets often turn out far from being really tasty, that’s definitely not the case of this chocolate salami. Made of the simplest ingredients, this dessert borrows sweetness from cocoa and dates, thus serving as a perfect snack for those not willing to betray their gym and healthy food routine.
Ingredients: 300 g of dates, 50 g of cocoa powder, 2 eggs, 50 ml of milk, 30 g of butter, 100 g of nuts, 20 g of powdered milk, a pinch of salt.
Pit the dates and, if necessary, soften them by pouring boiling water over them for a few minutes. Then blend them in a food processor with the cocoa, eggs, and milk until you have a thick, smooth mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a baking pan and bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes; the cake should remain slightly moist, like a brownie. Let it cool completely, then crumble it into a bowl with your hands.
Add softened butter, powdered milk, and a pinch of salt to the crumbs. Lightly chop the nuts and stir them into the mixture so that they remain in small pieces.
Mix thoroughly, shape into a firm “log,” and roll it in cocoa powder.
Wrap tightly in plastic and refrigerate for a couple of hours (or freeze for 30–40 minutes) to allow the dessert to set and become firmer.
