The Wheel of Time Can Still Revive Siuan Sanche: Fan Theory Explains How

The third season of The Wheel of Time ended with the tragic and shocking death of Siuan Sanche, but that may not be the end of her story. Thanks to Balefire, she can be saved – here's how.
The third season of The Wheel of Time was the most ambitious yet, with epic battles and internal conflicts transforming the series from a fantasy saga into a profound drama about choice and the price of power.
Season 3 ended with the episode He Who Comes with the Dawn, in which each of the main characters faced fateful decisions.
Siuan Sanche Could Be Resurrected Thanks to Balefire
But it was the tragedy of Siuan Sanche that became the emotional climax of the season. Betrayed by her own people, robbed of her power and then her life, Siuan dies as a result of a coup organized by Elaida.
However, it is possible that Siuan's story is not finished and that there is a way to resurrect her. Reddit user DaBloodyApostate proposed a theory that claims she could be brought back to life.
This would require a particularly powerful channeler to use the Balefire Ter'angreal on Alviarin, who killed Siuan, and burn her thread. As a result, Alviarin's actions that led to Siuan's death would not take place, and Siuan would remain alive.
The Balefire was also used in the original books to bring the dead back to life.
The following text contains spoilers for the Wheel of Time books!
In one of the battles, Rahvin kills both Aviendha and Mat. Rand uses Balefire to kill Rahvin, and this burns his thread so far back that their deaths never happened, so they are resurrected thanks to Rand.
Rafe Judkins Confirms Siuan Will Return in One Way or Another
In addition, Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins confirmed in an Instagram AMA that viewers will see more of Siuan Sanche if the show gets a fourth season:
“Sophie [Okonedo] and I discussed it a lot and felt this was the best time for the character to leave us. [...] But also… it's not the last time we will see Siuan if the show continues.”
We may see Siuan back on screen in a flashback or a dream, but what if the creators are actually planning on resurrecting her? Then the Balefire theory comes in handy.
Siuan's Death Was Unfair, According to Readers
Siuan's death became a heartbreak for many fans, especially those who have read the books and know what fate awaited her in the original source. Redditor cococangaragan wrote:
“I thought that her character deserved a happy ending because if we think about it, she had a really huge part to make the team of the Light succeed towards the Last Battle. [...] Then we have the tv adaptation, I thought maybe they will give her a proper ending and voila! They freaking killed her.”
Siuan was a fan favorite, a strong and resilient character whose death came as a shock. But Rafe Judkins' words give hope that she will return – maybe not as a main character, but at least as a guest star.
