The White Lotus S3 Finale Is Coming, and These Two Characters Won't Make It, Fans Predict

While Timothy Ratliff seems like the most obvious candidate so far, a compelling fan theory suggests two other candidates – and it makes perfect sense.
As The White Lotus Season 3 unfolds in Thailand, fans are already speculating about who might meet their demise in the finale.
Creator Mike White has made it clear that death is a recurring theme in the anthology series, with each season featuring at least one shocking fatality.
However, the plot of the new season develops so slowly that even a week before the final episode, it is still unclear who will be the victim. Fans have no choice but to come up with theories, and one of the most convincing claims is that this time there will be not one, but two victims.
The Season 3 Victims Have Been Shown as Early as the First Episode
According to a theory by Reddit user MarkReditto, the first episode showed us the characters who won't survive until the season three finale.
As the guests of the White Lotus Hotel leave the boat, they are greeted by the staff, who present each of them with a beautiful garland of jasmine flowers.
The gift is refused by two people: Saxon, who sniffs it and immediately returns it with a disgusted look on his face; and Rick, who accepts the gift but then carefully puts it back on the tray.
This garland, called phuang malai, has a hidden meaning. In Thailand, it is given as a sign of respect, to wish someone good luck, and to protect them. For example, phuang malai can be seen in the cars of local taxi drivers as a sign of respect to the guardian spirits.
According to fans, it is those who rejected phuang malai, Saxon and Rick, who will not survive to the finale and will be the victims of the same gunfight we saw at the beginning of the season.
Saxon and Rick Will Both Die, but in Different Ways
Perhaps the way that Rick and Saxon reacted to the phuang malai will play a part in their deaths as well. Since Rick treated the gift with respect, his death will most likely be some kind of sacrificial – he will have to protect someone or sacrifice himself for a good cause.
Saxon, in keeping with his dismissive attitude toward phuang malai, will probably die an accidental and senseless death.
The White Lotus thrives on misdirection, so the real victim may be someone we least suspect. But one thing is certain: the finale will be brutal, hilarious, and deeply satisfying.
