There’s One Series Jensen Ackles Won’t Let His Daughter Watch Until She’s 30 — And It’s Not 'Supernatural'

He’s protecting her childhood, setting boundaries with love and care.
Sometimes even Hollywood’s brightest stars set strict rules for their kids — and Jensen Ackles, star of The Boys and cult fave Supernatural, is no exception.
In a recent exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 47-year-old actor revealed that his 12-year-old daughter, Justice Jay, is begging to watch the show where he plays Soldier Boy. She’s even close to catching up on her dad’s Supernatural episodes as Dean Winchester.
But when it comes to The Boys, Jensen draws a very clear line.
"The Boys? I don’t ever want her watching that" he said. "She can come to me when she’s in her 30s and talk to me about The Boys then."
Imagine that — parental controls taken to superhero levels! The irony: the guy who plays a morally questionable hero becomes the strictest censor at home.
So hang tight, Justice — there’s a lifetime ahead to dive into all the mayhem of The Boys. For now, you get to binge Supernatural with Dad, just watch out for anything too grown-up.
