A recipe for those who don’t mind experimenting with taste.

It’s likely we’re all used to having patties or meatballs for lunch or dinner every so often, though sometimes it feels like we need to find something new and refreshing as a meal option. Well, there’s no need to change the food routine radically, since patties can be cooked in different ways depending on a country and its cuisine.

For instance, Chinese-style patties are way different from those you’re used to, so keep this recipe close next time you’ll decide to bring some diversity to your table.

Here’s what you need: 3 cups of finely chopped cooked chicken, 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of finely chopped sweet red bell pepper, 1/4 cup of finely chopped green onion, the same amount of finely chopped fresh mushrooms, 3 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce, 1 tablespoon of fresh minced ginger, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, wasabi sauce, a cup of sour cream, 2 teaspoons of wasabi powder, 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, ½ teaspoon of soy sauce.

Combine the first nine ingredients, add the lightly beaten eggs, and mix until smooth.

Form small round patties — this recipe makes about 20 patties, each 5 cm in diameter.

Fry in heated vegetable oil for 2–3 minutes on each side. Place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Serve the patties hot with the prepared sauce.
