The era of comebacks continues with yet another addition.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, Doctor Who was never a stranger to anything nostalgic.

The show does a very good job bringing back memories of the characters and adventures they've had before, as well as the actors on various panels and cons.

Luckily for all the Whovians, to this day Doctor Who can pride itself on consistency.

This new upcoming era, which will start with Fourteenth Doctor in November for three special anniversary episodes, and then transforms into a new series with the whole new Fifteenth Doctor, brings nostalgia to a whole new level.

Run by Russel T Davies, who's already been working on Doctor Who from 2005 to 2010, with David Tennant as the Fourteenth incarnation of the Doctor, and Catherine Tate as his beloved companion Donna Noble, anniversary specials are already getting much love from all the old fans.

But it's not going to end there. Despite the next series with Ncuti Gatwa Doctor's being a completely different piece from everything we've seen on Doctor Who before, there will be some easter eggs for the devoted audience.

Even when it comes to the cast, as it was recently announced that Russel T Davies brings one beloved actress from Torchwood to Doctor Who.

Indira Varma, whom Whovians may already know as Torchwood's Susie, comes back to the show in the new role of The Duchess.

"I'm thrilled to be in Doctor Who and particularly excited to be crossing cosmic paths with Ncuti, as the Doctor, and look forward to creating interplanetary mischief with him," the actress stated.

After her success in Game of Thrones as Ellaria Sand and amazing work in Disney Plus' Obi-Wan Kenobi, there's no doubt Varma will be a great addition to the cast of the following series.

Keep an eye out for more Doctor Who news and updates to keep you entertained before the premiere of the 60th-anniversary specials this November.
