They’ve Never Met — But Their Phones Say They’re Married: Netflix Rom-Com Starring 'Stranger Things' Star

Actress steps in front of and behind camera.
Netflix is putting a futuristic spin on the classic meet-cute with Just Picture It, a new romantic comedy led by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and The Fabelmans breakout Gabriel LaBelle. The pair play college students whose phones suddenly begin showing them photos from ten years in the future — where they appear happily married with children. The only catch? They haven’t even met yet.
The film is directed by Lee Toland Krieger (The Age of Adaline) from a script by Jesse Lasky, a former writer for The Late Show With David Letterman. Brown, now 21, is not only starring in the film but also producing it — continuing her behind-the-scenes work with Netflix, where she’s become one of the streamer’s most visible creative partners. Her husband, Jake Bongiovi, joins as executive producer.
For Brown, Just Picture It follows a growing slate of projects with Netflix, including the Enola Holmes series and the upcoming adaptation of her debut novel, Nineteen Steps. Meanwhile, LaBelle — who played a young Spielberg in The Fabelmans — brings his own momentum, having recently portrayed Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels in Saturday Night.
The question is simple but irresistible: if your phone showed you the future, would you trust it? Or would you swipe left and move on? Either way, let us know how it lands with you — choose your emoji below!
