The story begins with Wang Xiaoxiu, an ordinary Chinese schoolboy, being hunted. By a twist of fate, he falls to the bottom of a river where he discovers a mysterious artifact – the Super Cube.

In a parallel story, the tough fighter Xigu Zhen – a local version of Satoru Gojo – saves a girl named Yao Shen from men in black. The two stories intertwine when an adult Yao Shen confesses her feelings to the main character.
