Your sign to make yourself an authentic Mexican dinner at home.

Mexican food has long been one of the most popular choices when it comes to eating out, but many definitely tried to cook something in their own kitchen.

In most cases, Mexican dishes require a specific spice mixture called taco seasoning that goes perfectly well with whatever meal you prefer, be that a burrito or chili con carne. However, it’s not always easy to get that mixture in local grocery stores, yet it’s easy to make at home.

Here’s what you need: 1 tablespoon of ground chili, ¼ teaspoon of dried oregano, ½ teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt (preferably coarse), ¼ teaspoon of granulated garlic, ½ teaspoon of chili flakes, 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon of onion powder, 1½ teaspoons of ground cumin.

Put all the large seasoning ingredients (cumin, chili flakes, salt, and oregano) into a pestle and mortar or a coffee grinder. Grind everything into a fine powder.

Add all the remaining ingredients. Grind everything again until well combined. That’s it!
