This Creamy Old-Fashioned Banana Pudding Is the Ultimate Crowd-Pleaser
Mix the simplest ingredients (which you’ll probably find in your fridge already), and you’ll get the best dessert in just 15 minutes.
Cakes and pastry made with fruits are probably some of the most favorite desserts out there, mostly thanks to its refreshing and at the same time sweet taste. The famous banana pudding isn’t an exception, since this sweet treat hasn’t lost in its popularity despite being considered quite old-fashioned.
Either way, this dessert is extremely easy to make, so just make sure you have all the necessary ingredients and 15 minutes to spend.
Here’s what you need: 300 ml of milk, 25 g of sugar, 25 g of potato starch, 25 g of butter, 1 egg, 1 banana.
Heat the milk with sugar and cornstarch over medium heat, without bringing it to a boil.
Whisk the egg and cornstarch together until smooth and lump-free. Pour the egg-starch mixture in a thin stream into the hot milk, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat until thickened.
Puree the banana with butter in a blender, immediately add the hot milk mixture, and mix thoroughly.
Pour the pudding into individual serving cups and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
Before serving, garnish with grated chocolate, cinnamon, berries, or crushed cookies. Eat the dessert on the day it is made so that the banana doesn't turn brown.
