A garlic-infused Czech masterpiece with an incredibly crispy crust.

This recipe completely blows up the traditional potato routine by using a basic plastic bag to lock in a massive punch of garlic and a secret crunch factor. It’s a total game-changer that gets you that deeply satisfying, tavern-style golden crust on a single baking sheet with almost zero cleanup.

Here’s what you need: 1 kg of small potatoes, 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 4–5 cloves of garlic, 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs, salt, ground black pepper, a sprig each of basil, parsley, and dill.

Boil the potatoes in their skins, then peel them. Let them cool slightly. Toss with oil, salt, pepper, basil, and grated garlic.

Place them in a bag, add the breadcrumbs, and shake a couple of times to distribute the breadcrumbs evenly over the potatoes.

Spread them on a baking sheet and bake until lightly browned. At 180°C, this will take about half an hour.

Sprinkle with chopped herbs.
