Despite being quite invisible in Harry Potter movies, Ralph Ineson has recently been featured everywhere, including Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.
HBO’s future Harry Potter reboot show is about to follow the original movie franchise’s suit, launching its young actors’ careers, but the film series also starred quite many famous faces you might have not recognized back then.
Apart from Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter and others, the Harry Potter movies saw some prominent actors taking on much smaller roles, which was also the case for Ralph Ineson.
While already boasting of a vast experience in both movie and TV industry, Ineson portrayed one of Voldemort’s many supporters — however, you likely remember him from other well-known titles.

Initially introduced in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and later also featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ both parts, Amycus Carrow was a professor and a Dark wizard who, alongside his sister, supported Voldemort and became a Death Eater during the First Wizarding War.
When Voldemort’s downfall thwarted all of his and his allies’ plans, Amycus decided not to look for his master, seeing it as a way to avoid imprisonment in Azkaban.
In the meantime, he was soon made Defence Against the Dark professor in Hogwarts, gradually adapting cruel methods to punish his students for explicitly opposing Voldemort’s new regime.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Amycus managed to escape shortly after the Battle of Hogwarts, but was quickly recaptured and sent to Azkaban alongside his Voldemort-supporting peers.

On TV, Ineson was seen as Dagmer Cleftjaw in Game of Thrones’ five episodes, Connor Nutley in Peaky Blinders, General Nikolai Tarakanov in HBO’s hit series Chernobyl and Chris Finch in the original version of The Office.
Apart from that, the actor also starred in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, Ready Player One, The Northman and Nosferatu.
Ineson’s upcoming acting credits include the roles of Galactus in Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps and of Professor Krempe in Guillermo del Toro’s gothic sci-fi movie Frankenstein.
