This Hole-In-The-Wall Egg Toast Is the Ultimate Lazy Breakfast Hack
Stop washing greasy frying pans every single morning — just stack it, toss it in the oven, and walk away until your kitchen smells amazing.
If you hate standing over a hot stove before you’ve even had your coffee, this brilliant sandwich trick is about to change your entire morning routine. It completely eliminates the need for constant flipping or monitoring, delivering an incredibly satisfying, hot meal with absolutely minimal effort.
You get all the comfort of bubbly melted cheese, savory ham, and a perfectly cooked egg with practically zero cleanup, making it the perfect solution for your busiest weekdays.
Ingredients: 2 slices of sandwich bread, 2 slices of bologna or cooked ham, 1 oz (30g) of hard cheese, 1 large egg, a few thin slices of tomato (about 50g), salt and black pepper to taste, and 1 tablespoon of your favorite sauce.
Lay down your first slice of bread and spread your favorite sauce right over it, then layer on the ham and cheese. Take your second slice of bread, press a small hole or circle right out of the middle, and place it on top like a frame over the filling.
Drop a few small tomato pieces into that center hollow, making sure to leave enough room for the egg. Carefully crack the egg straight into the window, then sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt and cracked black pepper over the top.
If your sandwich feels a bit loose, pin the corners together with a couple of toothpicks to keep everything locked in place. Slide it into a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake until the egg white sets just how you like it and the bread turns a gorgeous, crunchy golden brown.
