A snack that your guests will be dying to get the recipe for.

Have you ever had en experience of having boiled way too many eggs for something and didn’t really need them later? Well, we’ve got you — there’s no need to throw them away now that you can turn them into a delicious soy-marinated snack.

You can serve these eggs in a salad or as a stand-alone snack — either way, your party will become legendary thanks to this unusual way of preparing eggs.

Ingredients: 6 hard-boiled eggs, 100 ml of soy sauce, 100 ml of water, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar, black pepper to taste, 1–2 bay leaves, fresh herbs to taste.

Peel the eggs. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, water, sugar, and apple cider vinegar; add the garlic, bay leaf, and pepper. Bring the marinade to a boil, then immediately remove from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Place the eggs in a container or jar and pour the warm marinade over them so that they are completely covered. Cover and place in the fridge for at least 6–8 hours, or preferably overnight.

During this time, the eggs will absorb the marinade, become firmer and more flavorful, and take on an appetizing color. Before serving, you can cut them in half and sprinkle with herbs.

Serving tip: toast a slice of bread, spread it with cream cheese or avocado, then top with sliced marinated eggs and a bit of fresh herbs. Drizzle with a drop of lemon juice or sprinkle with sesame seeds.
