Vanessa Kirby's "Hands-Down Favorite" Film Is This German Thriller Made in a Single Take
This is one of those rare projects that doesn't pretend to be filmed in one take – it actually is.
Vanessa Kirby dazzled in the costume drama The Crown, saved the world in Mission: Impossible, and raced at breakneck speeds in Fast & Furious. What could the favorite movie of such a versatile actress be?
Vanessa Kirby Calls Sebastian Schipper's 'Victoria' "Ingenious"

In an interview with Stylist, Kirby revealed that her favorite movie in recent years is a German crime drama filmed in one continuous take with no room for mistakes or cuts.
The actress said:
“I love watching films. Victoria, a German heist movie, is my hands-down favourite film of the past couple of years. It was shot in one take and is ingenious”.
What Is 'Victoria' About?
Summer in Berlin. Victoria, a Spanish woman, has recently moved to the German capital but hasn't made any friends yet. She spends her nights dancing alone in clubs until she meets a group of local guys: Sonne, Boxer, Blinker, and Fus.
Victoria and Sonne feel an immediate attraction, and it seems the night is just beginning. However, the men have unfinished business: an old debt to settle.
Their driver is unconscious, so they ask Victoria to take the wheel. What was supposed to be a quick deal turns into a bank robbery, a shootout, and an endless night with no escape.
'Victoria' Is an Experimental Crime Thriller Shot in a Single Continuous Take

Director Sebastian Schipper did something few had ever accomplished before: he shot a full-length movie in a single take without cutting. The filming took place in real time, with the cameraman literally running behind the actors through Berlin at night.
Although rehearsals took weeks, the movie itself was shot on only the third take. The risk paid off: Victoria creates an immersive experience.
Viewers don't simply observe the events, they experience them alongside the main character – from the euphoria of the dance floor to the visceral terror of a gun.
Schipper didn't so much direct a film as test a method, and he did so in a stunning manner. Victoria isn't just a movie – it's an experience.
