Virgin River Fan Theory: Will Brady's Dark Side Take Over?
Virgin River's bad boy Brady has faced a string of challenges in the last couple of seasons, and to top it off, he almost died after being jumped by his fellow inmates.
It's no secret he has made countless mistakes and wrong choices time and again, yet we've also seen him trying to get his life back in order. There's no doubt Brady has a dark side, but the question on everyone's mind is, will he be able to fight it?
Dan Brady, portrayed by actor Benjamin Hollingsworth, served as a marine alongside Jack, whom he also worked for as a bartender but quit after they had a falling out. He then decided to start working for Calvin, a local gang and cannabis farm leader, despite Jack warning him about the dangers of getting involved with him. And as you may already know, he's been in and out of trouble ever since. But is he capable of change?
Hollingsworth himself thinks he has a chance and has revealed to HollywoodLife that Brady's innocence being proven in season 4 is exactly what he needed to get his life together.
"I think this is a close enough call that I think he's going to have to learn to stay away from stuff like that and continue to patch things up with Jack," he said. "After all, he is dating [Jack's] sister and maybe will reintegrate back into the town now that he's not part of this shooting."
Fans also seem to think there's still hope for Brady. And one of the main reasons why they think he may at least try to find his way out of the world of crime is his feelings for Brie. So far, it looks like he'll do anything to make her happy and wants to do right by her. In fact, Hollingsworth also confirmed that he thinks there's no one else for Brady and that she's the "perfect woman for him because she challenges him and keeps him honest."
Brady may not be out of the woods just yet, as we don't know what's going to transpire with the new antagonist, Melissa Montgomery. For the moment, it's hard to tell whether Brady will manage to fight his demons or if the dark side will take over. However, it looks like there's hope he'll try to change – at least for Brie's sake.
