Wakanda Forever Plot Leak Makes Namor Marvel's Dumbest Villain
At this point one just has to hope that maybe the plot leak missed out on something important — like an explanation for why on Earth would Namor act like that.

Two weeks ahead of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere, fans seem to be hyping themselves up by speculating and delving into plot leaks and rumors. However, some of those rumors — which remain unconfirmed until the movie hits theaters — are not very flattering for some characters.
According to Redditor KostisPat257, who compiled all the Wakanda Forever plot leaks into one lengthy post, Namor is going to have a pretty weird motivation in the movie.
"In the present day, Riri Williams is a [genius] studying at MIT and has developed a device to find Vibranium in the ocean. Lake Bell's (Black Widow in What if...?) MCU- original character, Dr. Graham is using the device and somehow that awakens Namor who gets mad and kills Graham's team. He asks Wakanda for help to kill Riri next, but Wakanda refuses and protects Riri inside their borders," the leak claims.
Many fans have raised eyebrows at the "important teenager" storyline. However, the way Namor allegedly appears to act seems weird to many people.
"What I'm struggling with is why Namor would 1. Ask wakanda to help him kill this one girl 2. Why wakanda would allow a whole war to come about for her considering the leaks say she has no connection to wakanda before this altercation," Redditor antlerskull wondered.
Others suggested that either the leak missed out on some key plot points or Namor is simply acting "dumb". After all, the leak does not seem to offer any credible reason for the Talocan ruler to be willing to kill Riri except only the fact that she has invented a vibranium-detecting machine.
However, other people argued that this seems to sound exactly like Namor from the comics.
"This is one thousand percent in character for Namor. The dude is a colossal a**hole and if you told him that killing an innocent teenage girl would protect Atlantis, he'd crush her immediately and then ask you how killing her protected his kingdom after the fact," Redditor Unique_Unorque said.
Still, the leak might not include all the important details about Namor's motivations, so it might be too early to blast him as dumb before the movie comes out.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premieres in theaters on November 11, 2022, wrapping up the MCU's Phase Four.
