Jeffrey Dean Morgan joined The Boys cast but his character is not disclosed… or is it?

The production of The Boys season 4 has officially come to an end. Showrunner Erik Kripke had already convinced his former Supernatural star, Jensen Ackles, to play Soldier Boy in season 3.

We also know that another Winchester family member joined the cast of the superhero satire as Karl Urban ( Billy Butcher) shared a picture with The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan on set.

The show's keeping tight-lipped about Morgan's role for the moment, but fans are abuzz with speculation about which character he might play and it seems that Tek Knight is a fitting choice.

Tek Knight, a recurring character in Garth Ennis' comics, is The Boys' take on DC's Batman ( and a bit of Marvel's Iron Man).

He's a billionaire playboy who dons an advanced suit to take on the criminal underworld, complete with a mansion, a sidekick, a fancy set of wheels, and more.

But in the comics, Tek Knight is a twisted character, plagued by a mental disorder that compels him to engage in sexual acts with both living beings and inanimate objects.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has got quite the knack for playing despicable characters, as we've seen in his roles as Negan in The Walking Dead and The Comedian in Watchmen.

Interestingly enough, he played Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and was also nearly cast as Thomas Wayne's Batman in a Flashpoint movie.

So if he were to take on the role of a Batman parody in The Boys season 4, it would add a whole new layer of meta-ness to his performance.

Nothing's confirmed yet, but the show has already hinted at the character's existence in past seasons. It would be interesting to see how they could incorporate him as a grizzled veteran Supe with a sex addiction.

Tek Knight is actually one of the few Supes in the comics that Billy Butcher doesn't hate, so it could add an intriguing dynamic to the story as the Boys start working with more Supes and experimenting with their powers.

And let's be real, with the freedom that Prime Video gives The Boys, they could definitely get away with introducing a character like Tek Knight, who was previously considered too controversial for a live-action depiction.
