Wednesday Season 2 New Teaser Released: ‘Returning to the Scene of Crime’

Netflix finally released a new teaser for Wednesday season 2 and fans are so ready for it. Stay here to see what is coming!
Wednesday Season 2 is coming! Netflix just released the new teaser, also revealing the premiere dates. Following the latest trends, Wednesday season 2 will be split in two parts: first one will be released on August 6, and Part II will arrive on September 3.
In the teaser, Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams returns to Nevermore Academy, which she compares to “returning to the scene of the crime” where she “already knows where the bodies are buried.” We see Gomez and Morticia, with the latter praising her daughter for willingly returning to a school for the first time in her life.
We also see some old friends and enemies, like Emma Myers’ Enid, Hunter Doohan’s Tyler, and Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester; and we also get to welcome Steve Buscemi and Joanna Lumley. Also, Pugsley is now a student at Nevermore, too!
It’s clear that the new season has a thing about creepy dolls: the classic horror trope adds to the general atmosphere of eeriness in the trailer. We see Wednesday tied up, sat at the table with the dolls; we also see her handing Enid a creepy doll that looks like her. It sure looks like Wednesday season 2 lives up to Jenna Ortega’s promise to delve deeper into the horror territory.
However, few plot details are easy to decipher from the teaser. This, by the way, is something fans appreciate.
“This is a perfect example of how a teaser trailer should be done. It doesn’t give away the synopsis or the plot of the entire series, but it perfectly sets the tone and the setting. That’s a teaser!” YouTube user SAMAD2804 said in the comments.
A lovely detail was also noticed by the hardcore fans of the series. The fact that the announcement was made on a Wednesday just blew their minds.
“It’s Tim Burton. That can’t possibly have been by accident. Genius!” Redditor EmojiZackMaddog said.
Wednesday Season 1 Recap
In the first season, Wednesday Addams solved a school mystery, discovered her psychic abilities (judging by those black tears from the teaser, those didn’t go anywhere), had her first kiss (with a guy who turned out to be a monster), did the dance, and ended the first chapter of the story with a stalker seemingly lurking behind. Their identity is still a mystery; season 2 will have to elaborate on that.
The first season is available on Netflix.
