Jenna Ortega has returned as Wednesday Addams in Season 2, Part 1 now streaming on Netflix. But even long before she gave us that iconic deadpan stare, Jenna was already drawn to the darker side of media.
“I definitely feel like I have a bit more Gothic taste than I did when I was a teenager. I’ve always been into dark things or been fascinated by them, but I was a Disney kid, and the whole thing is being bubbly and kind and overly sweet,” she shared to Harper's Bazaar.
Beyond her role in Wednesday, Ortega has taken on several other dark projects, including Scream VI.

Wednesday Addams doesn't do scared. While most Scream victims panic when they get that phone call, Wednesday would probably just hang up or worse, bore Ghostface with a lengthy monologue.
“I feel like she would get him first,” Ortega told CB when asked about what reaction Wednesday would have if Ghostface tried to go after her.

While some fans agree with Ortega on Wednesday coming out as the winner in her potential fight with Scream's Ghostface, others think that this seems quite impossible.
“In both Scream movies I bet that Wednesday would not only fight and win against Ghostface, easily, she would also criticize their tactics and poor knife skills, as well as their ridiculous attire,” Redditor NightmaresFade wrote.
“I don’t think Wednesday would physically be capable of winning against the main Ghostface of [Scream] 6 (not going to write their name here because of spoilers) and perhaps struggle with some of the others ones as well. At least if she was alone. People forget that she is not a superhero. [The] girl would have died several times in Episode 8 if it wasn’t for Thing, Goody, Enid, Bianca & Eugene. The Ghoshfaces of the recent movies always worked together, two of them against Wednesday and it wouldn’t look too good for our favorite goth,” another fan on Reddit pointed out.
