And, most importantly, do we want her to reappear?
With several weeks till the 'Andor' premiere on Disney Plus, fans are already guessing which characters and events can they expect to be featured in the new 'Star Wars' spinoff series. It turns out that one of the most controversial characters from 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' – Reva – has a pretty high chance of turning up in 'Andor'.
While her appearance has not been officially confirmed or even addressed, some fans believe that she might turn return because the universe's timeline provides a possibility for that. The events of 'Andor' are due to take place between 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' and the movie 'Rogue One', so the timeline fits.
Despite the mixed reactions Reva prompted after being introduced in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', many people seem to be actually okay with the idea of her return in 'Andor'. Others, on the contrary, argue that the appearance of her – or any other force-using character – would feel stretched and unnecessary in 'Andor'.
"Andor's already tackling both the Mon Mothman and Gerreran schools of rebellion, a Jedi Path C-plot is a stretch," one of Star Wars fans wrote on TikTok.
'Andor' is going to focus on Cassian Andor – a former thief who turned into a Rebel spy five years before the events of 'Rogue One'. In the spinoff movie, however, Cassian dies, so the series is going to be a 'Black Widow'-style prequel about him, telling the story with the final that is already known.
Reva, in her turn, has had a villain redemption arc in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' – the one that left the viewers divided, with some praising the show for not killing the bad character off but actually letting it deal with the consequences of its actions; and others arguing that her character was less than compelling and was included in the story purely for diversity.
There have been no hints that Reva might appear in Andor as of now. The spinoff series premieres on Disney Plus on September 21, 2022.
