What happened to Beom-seok in Weak Hero Class? Even Si-eun's revenge skipped him
Si-eun tears through the boys who helped put Su-ho in a coma, and when he finally reaches the one who started it, he walks away.
Weak Hero Class 1 is the Korean school drama adapted from the webtoon Weak Hero, written by Seopass and illustrated by Razen. It first aired on Wavve in 2022 and came to Netflix in 2025, about a month before Netflix released Weak Hero Class 2 that April. Park Ji-hoon plays Yeon Si-eun, a quiet top student who fights with his head. Choi Hyun-wook plays Ahn Su-ho, his first real friend, and Hong Kyung plays Oh Beom-seok, the transfer student who completes their trio.
How Beom-seok turns
He arrives at Byeoksan High School as a bullied transfer, and for half the season he's the third friend. The second half belongs to his father, Oh Jin-won, a National Assembly member who beats him at home.
Beom-seok starts copying the man he's afraid of. He grows to resent Si-eun and Su-ho, and he joins the bullies they've been fighting. Then he turns on Su-ho directly: he sabotages Su-ho's motorbike and hires a fighter, Woo-young, to beat him. By the end of the season, Su-ho is in a coma.
The revenge that stops at him
Si-eun's answer is the most violent stretch of the series. He goes after the people responsible one by one:
- He beats Yeong-bin in front of the whole school.
- He tracks down Woo-young, the fighter Beom-seok hired, and breaks his leg with a weight.
- He goes to Beom-seok's old school to confront Beom-seok himself.
That's where it ends. Si-eun finds him, and doesn't fight him.
The boys Beom-seok used pay for it. Beom-seok is the one Si-eun lets go.
Nobody else delivers Beom-seok's punishment either. The show doesn't put him through the police or the school. His father ships him off to a school in the Philippines, and that's the last time Class 1 shows him. Si-eun, meanwhile, is expelled for the violence and sent to another school.
Where he is in Class 2
Mostly, he's gone. Class 2 follows Si-eun at his new school, Eunjang High, where he makes new friends and fights a gang alliance called the Union. Hong Kyung returns only once, in episode 7, after Si-eun is badly hurt in a car accident. While he's unconscious, Si-eun sees Beom-seok, crying, warning him that everyone will get hurt.
He asks Si-eun: "Are you making new friends again?"

Asked about the two friends Si-eun lost, Park Ji-hoon put it simply.
"These friends still live in his heart," Park told TIME of Su-ho and Beom-seok.
What's left open
Class 2 closes one half of the old story: in the final episode, Su-ho wakes up. Beom-seok stays where Class 1 left him, out of the country and out of the plot.
Netflix hasn't announced a Class 3. Class 2 director Han Jun-hee has said a third season would follow Si-eun through his last year of high school to graduation.
