What Made David Spade Consider Pulling a Gun at His Home?

He almost threaten autograph seekers?
Honestly, I can’t even imagine being in David Spade’s shoes. I get why he was freaked out — anyone following you home in the dark is terrifying, especially when it’s not even real fans.
Spade shared the story on his Fly on the Wall podcast about autograph seekers who trailed him from a comedy show. He explained these people weren’t fans but resellers trying to make money off his signature.
"I have a little road that goes up to my [house]… It’s pitch-black up there. It’s a perfect place for carjacking [or a] robbery," he said.
He described five men approaching him for autographs and how he pulled out pepper spray.
"If they come behind me, I’m gonna get the gun. Just show it to him like, ‘Hey, this is for real. Now you’re in my house. You can’t do this.’ They’re not really fans… It’s a business. They followed me all the way home. That’s even scarier," Spade added.
I have to give it to him — he handled a scary situation calmly and didn’t escalate unnecessarily. This is a reminder that celebrity life isn’t always glamorous.
