Is it a one-time comeback, or?..

With the return of the iconic Hulk villain Abomination in 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law', fans are already musing about his possible prospects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Portrayed by Tim Roth in 'The Incredible Hulk', Abomination, a.k.a. Emil Blonsky, returns in 'She-Hulk' as an apparent inmate who expects Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany ) to defend him in court or alleviate his legal troubles in any other way.

While his role in the TV show remains vague and ambiguous for now, fans are already suggesting that Roth's character might continue his journey in the MCU – particularly by appearing in 'Thunderbolts '.

After all, Abomination was one of the most prominent members of the antihero team-up in Marvel comics. He joined the team in the comics during the events named 'Devil's Reign'. In fact, many fans believe that Abomination's appearance in 'She-Hulk' is laying the groundwork for his role in 'Thunderbolts', ensemble Jake Schreier-helmed superhero movie that is due to come out in July 2024.

Some Reddit fans have been wondering for a long time if 'Thunderbolts' is going to assemble some of the most prominent anti-heroes of the MCU, becoming some sort of a darker alternative to the original Avengers:

"I wonder if the Thunderbolts will essentially be a team of Dark Avengers.

USAgent = Cap

Yelena = Widow

The Abomination = The Hulk

Who would be their Iron Man, Thor, and Hawkeye? Hammer would be a good anti-Iron Man, or Zeke Stane if those rumors are true. Bullseye coming back and being Dark Hawkeye would be dope," one of the MCU fans posted on Reddit

Moreover, Abomination has also been showcased by Marvel as a part of the upcoming series 'Marvel Zombies'. It would seem that the long absence of the character – Tim Roth has never appeared in the MCU since the 2008 release of 'The Incredible Hulk' aside from a small cameo in 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings' – has not undermined Marvel's confidence in the character.

'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' premieres on Disney Plus on August 17.
