What to Watch in December Besides 'Stranger Things'? Here're 5 Most Anticipated TV Series
A comedy with Rowan Atkinson, a Western drama with Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, and the second season of the hit video game adaptation.
While everyone is talking about the final season of Stranger Things, streaming services are preparing other major premieres.
To help you keep up with new releases, we've compiled a list of the five most highly anticipated series that will rival the last nostalgic trip to Hawkins.
1. 'Man vs. Baby'

Release Date: December 5, 2025
Streaming Platform: Starz
Legendary pantomime and slapstick comedian Rowan Atkinson will soon be back with a new project. This time, his character must look after a mischievous toddler during the Christmas holidays. Of course, the child will constantly run away and get into all kinds of mischief.
For those who associate Atkinson's face with the holidays thanks to the December Mr. Bean telethons, this release will be a true Christmas gift.
2. 'Fallout' Season 2

Release Date: December 17, 2025
Streaming Platform: Prime Video
By the standards of modern streaming platforms, where viewers are accustomed to waiting three to four years for new seasons, the release of the second season of Fallout is suspiciously quick.
However, this speed comes at a price. This time, episodes will be released weekly, so viewers won't see the season finale until early February.
The action will take place in the Mojave Desert, where viewers will be introduced to the legendary New Vegas. If you're unfamiliar with the iconic video game, prepare yourself for eccentric characters and vibrant casinos onscreen.
3. 'The Abandons'

Release Date: December 4, 2025
Streaming Platform: Netflix
Kurt Sutter, the creator of Sons of Anarchy, seems to have found the key to Taylor Sheridan's success with Yellowstone – a blend of Western and family drama. Sutter is using the same trick in his new project, The Abandons.
Set in mid-19th-century America, the series chronicles the rivalry between two clans. One clan is led by an Irish immigrant, played by Lena Headey, who has created a community of orphans and believes she is fulfilling divine will.
The other clan is led by European aristocrats played by Gillian Anderson. They believe the self-proclaimed saint is delusional and has illegally seized their lands.
4. 'Amadeus'

Release Date: December 21, 2025
Streaming Platform: Sky Atlantic
A TV series adaptation of Miloš Forman's celebrated film Amadeus will soon be released by British filmmakers. The creators decided that the classic deserves a revival, though they do not offer a radically new interpretation.
Like the movie, the series is based on Peter Shaffer's play, so viewers shouldn't expect any unexpected twists to the well-known story of genius, envy, and creative rivalry.
The five-hour adaptation allows for a more in-depth exploration of the characters and circumstances surrounding the brilliant composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his rival, the court composer Antonio Salieri.
5. 'Spartacus: House of Ashur'

Release Date: December 5, 2025
Streaming Platform: Starz
The enduring love of the historical blockbuster Spartacus: Blood and Sand forced Starz to rewrite history.
In the sequel, the tragically deceased gladiator Ashur is given a new life. He helps suppress a rebellion and is rewarded with ownership of a gladiatorial school.
Steven S. DeKnight, creator of the original series and the prequel Gods of the Arena, is leading the House of Ashur project.
