However, the iconic William Bludworth, played by the late Tony Todd, returned. He mentioned Kimberly Corman, who had managed to cheat death. Let's figure out who she is.
Kimberly Corman Was the Only Survivor in 'Final Destination 2'
In Final Destination Bloodlines, William continued to fulfill his mission of providing survivors with useful facts about the deadly cycle and how to avoid death. He informed the family of the main character, Stefani, about Kimberly Corman, the only survivor.
Kimberly Corman played by A. J. Cook is one of the main characters of Final Destination 2, in which she predicted a car accident. At the end of the second film, Kimberly and her friend, police officer Thomas Burke, survived. However, William did not mention anything about Thomas, leaving his fate in question.
There is no evidence that William kept in touch with Kimberly or knew how she was doing. However, it's possible that Kimberly broke the cycle of death and is still alive.
'Final Destination Bloodlines' Debunks Kimberly Death Cut Scene
A scene referencing Kimberly and Thomas was cut from Final Destination 3 – it showed a homeless man sleeping under a newspaper with a message about their tragic deaths.
Whether or not this deleted scene is canon has been a controversial question for many years. In Final Destination Bloodlines, the creators made it clear that the deaths of Kimberly and Thomas were not included in the canon of the franchise. It's unlikely that William would not have known about this tragedy.
How Did Kimberly Avoid Death?
William told Kimberly that there are two ways to avoid death: kill someone or die yourself. Kimberly chose the second option.
Intentionally – and not at Death's behest – she drove a white van into a lake to drown and stop her heart. Thomas pulled her out and took her to the hospital, where she was revived. Kimberly experienced clinical death, which is the most dangerous but effective way to break the cycle.
