Tracker’s season 1 initially hinted at Mary having something to do with Ashton’s mysterious murder, with Colter embarking on his own investigation only to find out that his father was pushed off a cliff at Mary’s behest.
The latter’s motives aren’t clear yet, so Tracker’s third season will likely take a closer look at Mary’s relationship with her late husband.
Tracker Showrunner Confirms Season 3 Will Have Even More Family Drama
Even though Colter has been more involved in figuring out his own family’s secrets rather than investigating other people’s mysteries, the show’s next instalment might not leave this path just yet.
“I think Colter is going to get an answer; he’s going to get some lies. I mean, look, it’s families. Families are f**king messy. Family will lie to your face. What’s interesting about Colter, it’s like, what does he do with whatever his mom tells him? Does he believe her? Can he forgive her, even if she tells him the whole truth? I don’t know”, Tracker’s showrunner Elwood Reid revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
He then also hinted at something even more shocking coming in Colter’s way as he keeps digging into his father’s death.
“I think there is a much bigger mystery with what his father was up to that caused him to go off the deep end, that I think we’re going to get into as the season goes on, and hopefully be able to bring back his sister, his brother. We’re going to play with those things. I think that’s what makes the show special, to have that emotional element”, Reid stated.

The show’s next instalment will likely premiere sometime this fall.
