Who Plays Alice in ‘Guns Up’ & Why It Is Perfect Casting?

It could have ended up being yet another average action, but little details turned Guns Up into a solid movie. And Christina Ricci’s character was one of the reasons.
Guns Up is a new action thriller featuring Kevin James (who now really looks like my cousin) as an ex-com gone full mobster. He is also a devoted father and husband, and it takes you a while to realise that while his kids don’t know what their father does for a living his wife Alcie is surprisingly okay with it. And moreover, she was the one who softly forced him to take the job in the mafia.
In the movie, the role of Alice, the quirky little wife, is played by none other than Christina Ricci, and frankly, it was probably the best casting decision the director Edward Drake coil have made.
Had he chosen any other actress, Alice’s transformation from a soft mom to a hardcore killer would have felt different. We love Ricci for her dark roles, especially since she recently shined in Wednesday as the dangerous villain under the guise of a friend.
It seems like the roles that require a change of hearts are perfectly suitable for Ricci and she is fully devoted to owning the two parts of one character.
Another point in favor of such acting is that while making her character believable, she still brings comedy into the role. The paradox here is that she is a rather petite woman, compared to her husband, for example, but the way she behaves with guns and knives is professional, and it even surprises her mobster-hubby.
