Who Plays Daeron Targaryen in 'House of the Dragon' Season 3?

HBO is yet to unveil the actor for House of the Dragon’s most intriguing character in season 3, though some unofficial videos from the show’s set might have already done this.
Things are about to go bigger in House of the Dragon’s upcoming third season as more characters will be joining the Targaryens’ war ahead of the most epic battles.
Slammed and deprived of almost all Emmy nominations for the disappointing season 2, the series has repeatedly promised (via its showrunner Ryan Condal) to make it all worthy in the next instalment, also teasing another major character’s introduction.
While it’s not yet clear who exactly will join House of the Dragon leading cast as Prince Daeron Targaryen, some footage from the show’s season 3 production can already give major clues.
Charlie Gordon Might Portray Daeron Targaryen in ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3
Even though the series’ helmer Ryan Condal previously stated that he would like to keep the actor’s identity secret until the season’s premiere sometime in 2027, there’s no such rule for paparazzi.
The show’s fans were recently drawn by a video that emerged on House of the Dragon’s fan account on X, with the footage witnessing Matt Smith’s Daemon Targaryen interact with James Norton’s Ormund Hightower and, what’s more interesting, probably Prince Daeron Targaryen, who might be portrayed by young actor Charlie Gordon.
However, there’s nothing certain to say about what exactly is happening in the scenes that got into the footage, so Gordon’s casting remains unconfirmed.
Daeron Targaryen Will Be “Big Feature” in ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 (Heavy Spoilers Ahead!)
Having spent most of his life outside of King's Landing, King Viserys I and Queen Alicent’s youngest child still plays a major role in George Martin’s “Fire & Blood” once he joins the Greens’ side in the fight for the Iron Throne.
In the book, Daeron becomes his team’s commander after Aegon II and Aemond’s deaths, using his dragonrider skills to bring in the favor for the Greens in some of the most important battles.
“I won't say much more, but I will say that the fact that Daeron has not featured in the world of his family, at least his immediate nuclear family, is sort of the point I think. The thing that interested us, if not the most, about his character is who he is now as a young man”, Ryan Condal said about the character in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in March.
