The Last of Us is back on track with its second season that promises more tensions between Bella Ramsay’s Ellie and Pedro Pascal ’s Joel, yet there’s only one released episode to judge by.
The series, launched back in 2023, accidentally reunited Ramsay and Pascal who both starred in HBO’s Game of Thrones until it finished its walk of shame with an eighth and final season in 2019.
However, Pascal’s Oberyn Martell wasn’t there for as long as many of the series’ fans wished, while Bella Ramsay returned to Game of Thrones’ world for 3 seasons straight, securing themselves a breakthrough role nothing has beaten so far (yes, even The Last of Us).
Bella Ramsay Was Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones Later Seasons
Game of Thrones came as the first ever acting credit in Bella Ramsay’s career.
Cast at 11 years old and initially introduced in season 6, they portrayed Lyanna Mormont, a 10-year-old head of House Mormont who had to embrace the power after almost the entire army of her family was brutally killed at the infamous Red Wedding.
Some fans just couldn’t connect the dots seeing a literal child giving orders and ruling the entire House in a very mature manner, but it was thanks to Ramsay’s brilliant performance that Lyanna soon became one of the most beloved characters in Game of Thrones’ entire history.

While The Last of Us’ audiences are still clashing over their fit for Ellie’s role, Ramsay’s performance in Game of Thrones never caused a single doubt.
“Lyanna Mormont was a great character in the books, but they just went way over the top with her portrayal in the show”, ras344 commented in one of the Reddit threads.
Even though the actor received praise for both their roles in Game of Thrones and The Last of Us, some admitted Ramsay “was a certified badass in GoT, she really sold that s—t good”, proving themselves like no one else at a pretty young age.
