The Masked Singer Finale: Who Won the Show?
The finale brought together 4 performers: Boogie Woogie, Coral, Mad Scientist Monster and Pearl.
The stage was set for another unforgettable night with Rita Ora and the finalists performing Chappell Roan's Pink Pony Club. The winner was announced: Pearl, who turned out to be none other than Gretchen Wilson, the country icon herself.
The other finalists were revealed as well: Andy Grammer as Boogie Woogie, Meg Donnelly as Coral and Brian Kelley as Mad Scientist Monster.

Behind the Pearl success there's actually a very personal Wilson story.
In an interview to TooFab, she revealed:
“I was almost depressed... thinking it's probably over for me. I said yes for selfish, personal reasons. I needed to know if I had five or ten more years in me. Could I still do this?”
The Pearl costume offered her a chance to break out of her usual image.
During her talk with GoldDerby, Wilson said:
“It brought out all of the parts of myself that my audience doesn't know about me. The parts that they didn't buy a ticket to see, you know. When they come to my concert, they want to see the redneck woman. Well, this was the other side, the side that I don't necessarily bring out on tour, but it's always been there.”
What Do Fans Think of the New Masked Singer Winner?
"I like BW (Andy Grammar) too. But, IMO, Pearl (Gretchen Wilson) took more risks and left her wheelhouse more. She was rangey vocally and showed versatility style-wise. I read articles that said it was her, but I still wasn't sure it was her, because I didn't know she could sing like that. I hope this will help her make a comeback in country music," Redditor PattyCA2IN wrote.
