Stranger Things’ actress has recently joined the upcoming movie of the Spider-Man franchise starring Tom Holland.
Roughly three years after its latest instalment’s premiere, Marvel’s new Spider-Man movie series is now set to be back on track with a new superhero flick, promising to bring along some even more heart-wrenching plot twists and new cast members in exciting roles.
Starring Tom Holland in the titular role, the fourth movie, now officially titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has recently had Stranger Things ’ star Sadie Sink on its board for a yet unknown role.
Despite Marvel keeping details of the future movie’s storyline under wraps, the actress has since been rumoured to take on several different roles as fans keep testing their hunch; the media currently has more than just one theory for the rest of the upcoming film’s audiences to dwell on.
Fans Believe Sadie Sink May Play Mayday Parker, But on One Condition
Though it’s still early to predict whether Marvel will repeat its previous magic trick or not, many remain reassured that the studio might be planning to reunite all three Spider-Man actors once again, bringing Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield back to the screen.
Both actors have previously starred in Spider-Man: No Way Home, helping the younger version of, well, kind of themselves to figure everything out amidst the ongoing chaos; Maguire and Garfield’s cameo roles took Marvel’s fans by the storm, so no wonder the superhero studio will likely be down for another similar reunion.
With this in mind, fans suggested there might be a different outcome with Sadie Sink portraying Mayday Parker, the daughter of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and his universe’s Mary Jane Watson.

With pretty much nothing yet confirmed about Sink’s participation in the next Spider-Man instalment, Marvel’s fans are free to fantasize; many theories have been shared so far, but there’s a definite top-5 that fans believe is most likely to ultimately become true.
That said, one of the most popular theories, as many expected, suggests Sadie Sink taking over Zendaya’s role as MJ since the former has an appearance similar to the one of the character described in the original comic books.
“It would be kind of wild if they just did Mary Jane and Zendaya's MJ was just confirmed to not have ever been the "real" MJ.”, user TheFinalYappening predicted.
However, Popular_Material_409 quickly retorted, saying that Sink was rumoured to take on a role of a mutant:
“My guess is the mutant role they were talking to her about was Firestar, because that makes way more sense for a Spidey movie than Jean Grey”.
