The Hollywood legend calls working on his current Marvel project a tough experience and states that it’s “not a walk in the park” by any means.

Harrison Ford is one of those actors you can’t not know. His legacy is immense as Ford has starred in Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, Jack Ryan, and dozens of other world-famous movies and franchises.

Now, at the age of 80, Harrison Ford has joined Marvel Studios as one of the lead actors.

With Marvel, Ford is currently working on the upcoming Thunderbolts movie. While the plot details of the film are being kept secret, we know that the actor took over the role of General Thaddeus Ross aka Thunderbolt.

Previously, General Ross was played by William Hurt who sadly passed away a bit over a year ago.

While working with Marvel is a fresh and out-of-the-ordinary experience for the actor, Harrison Ford finds it hard to match the energy of the rest of the crew. Marvel Studios proved to have a completely different environment from what the actor’s used to, and he’s still getting over the changes. It’s not that bad, though.

"There are tough days and easy days and fun days and all kinds of days. It’s a tough schedule and, yeah, it’s fun. But it’s not a walk in the park. It’s not fun fun. It’s work," Ford shared in his interview with Esquire.

The idea of inviting Harrison Ford in the first place unsurprisingly belonged to Kevin Feige. The Marvel boss felt largely inspired by Ford’s past works and wanted to bring some of their spirits into the new MCU project along with the legendary actor.

"Ross is the President of the United States in the film — and with Harrison, you think about Air Force One, and you think about some of his confrontations with the president in Clear and Present Danger. <...> In this film, we'll be seeing the dynamic between Captain America and the President of the United States in a way that is just incredible," explained Kevin Feige.

We’re sure that Thunderbolts can only benefit from having Harrison Ford on board, and it will definitely be interesting to see him play the US President in the next MCU installment.
