You Have 16 Days to Watch This Gripping Historical Drama With Kit Harrington Before It Leaves Netflix

The series also stars Mark Gatiss and is a perfect watch for those who still miss BBC’s Sherlock.
Another bunch of popular movies and shows is getting ready to leave Netflix forever, and the Kit Harrington-led series has recently joined the list.
No worries, no one would dare to remove Game of Thrones anyway, but this period drama produced by BBC might also be worthy of your attention, especially since it’s not a watch too long to get bored on the way.
Initially released back in 2017, the mini-series also features Sherlock ’s star Mark Gatiss and Lord of the Rings’ Liv Tyler, so that’s probably another reason for Netflix’s viewers to check the show out until it’s forever gone in just a couple of weeks.
Gunpowder Will Leave Netflix in March
The good news is that you’ll be just fine choosing one evening for starting and finishing the show in one binge-watch, but you still have to be quick as Gunpowder is set to disappear from Netflix’s platform on March 21.
Delving into one of the darkest parts of British history, the show primarily follows the infamous Gunpowder Plot of 1605 when England was dragged by a war with Spain and tensions were even higher with a fierce persecution of Catholics all across the country.
A young Catholic and a man who has just lost his wife and father to all the events occurring, Robert Catesby, portrayed by Harrington, gets driven by his anger when he plots an assassination of King James I while the latter is in the houses of Parliament.
Determined to make his plan come true, Catesby finds allies in a group of other angry men, one of them being notorious Guy Fawkes; together they have to decide how exactly they will bring their vengeance to the King.
Meanwhile, Kit Harrington’s Horror Movie Isn’t Leaving Netflix Anytime Soon
If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones’ alumni, you might also want to fill the void left by Gunpowder’s upcoming departure with another gripping story starring Kit Harrington.
Mostly known as period dramas’ guy, the actor made a surprising appearance in a 2023 horror movie Baby Ruby that delved into women’s fears once they become mothers.
Starring Noémie Merlant in the leading role, Baby Ruby follows Jo and Spencer, a couple expecting their first baby they already decided to call Ruby; however, once the baby is born and brought home, Jo starts feeling like something has gone wrong in her entire life, and it’s not just the newborn that had its toll.
