Let's bring them all back.

The Doctor Who anniversary specials have not yet been given a premiere date, but the fandom is already trying to figure out what kind of pleasant surprises, aside from David Tennant's return, they can expect. And it looks like fans would love to see at least three ex-Doctors back on screen, even if only for a small cameo.

After all, if Tennant is back, why not bring back the rest of the gang?

Peter Capaldi

It may be too soon, but people already miss Peter Capaldi's eccentric 12th Doctor incarnation and would love to have him back for a few moments. One fan even has a story ready.

"12 goes to 2008 Torchwood and meets Frobisher where they team up to solve some Roman conspiracy so travel back in time and meet up with Caecillius," Redditors suggested.

Paul McGann

McGann's Eighth Doctor has already enjoyed several cameos on the show, but fans would love to see more of him in the upcoming 60th anniversary special.

Previously, the eighth incarnation of the Time Lord appeared in the 2013 webcast mini-episode The Night of the Doctor, which preceded the 50th anniversary special. Then McGann reprised his role in 2022, appearing in the quasi afterlife in the final Thirteenth Doctor special, The Power of the Doctor. That doesn't mean we won't see him this anniversary!

Matt Smith

You probably knew this was coming, but let's face it: Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor remains a fan favorite. Many people are already rallying for the 60th anniversary to "bring back the bow ties," alluding to the Eleventh's love of the garment.

In fact, fans want all of these Doctors to return and appear on screen together in what could be the most epic multiverse event in the show's universe. And with current trends, who knows, maybe that's just what it could be.
