4 Skyrim Side Quests That Would Actually Make Great Movies

Imagining one of the best Skyrim side quests as movies. Would you watch these?
Skyrim is one of the richest source materials for great stories. I still find it fascinating that it hasn't been adapted by a major production yet.
I've already talked about two major quests that would make for some top-tier TV, but smaller Skyrim side quests deserve recognition for being just as complex as the big ones. Today let's dive into my personal top 4 that are begging for the big screen treatment.
Frostflow Abyss Would Be a Chilling & Complex Horror
Frostflow Abyss is probably one of the most unsettling and scary Skyrim quests. We have a lonely, eerie lighthouse, a murdered family, and something very sinister that hides beneath the surface. Is that a recipe for horror I'm sensing?
An adaptation could show the life of Habd and his family before they moved to this lighthouse. And I honestly wouldn't be mad about non-linear storytelling. The only thing I want depicted precisely is the claustrophobic feeling we all got from playing the quest.
In My Time of Need Could Be the Next Mystery Hit
In My Time of Need is a perfect mystery thriller waiting to happen.
It has everything: a mysterious woman in hiding, determined warriors seeking justice (or revenge?) and a web of conflicting lies. The potential film would thrive on moral ambiguity.
I also wouldn't mind some creative liberties if they serve the story and explain the Dragonborn's ultimate choice.
A Night to Remember Is Comedy Gold Waiting to Happen
If any Skyrim quest was born to be a comedy, it's A Night to Remember.
A drinking contest with a mysterious stranger leads to a wild night that Dragonborn has no memory of. And yeah, your drinking buddy turns out to be a Daedric Prince.
The film version could lean hard into the absurdist humor, but maintain the fantasy settings.
Laid to Rest Could Blend Horror With a Detective Story
Laid to Rest has it all: a suspicious house fire, a grieving widower who moves on too quickly, and a town consumed by fear.
Vampire movies never get old, and Laid to Rest has the perfect setup for a gothic mystery.
The gradual reveal of Alva's true nature would make for the perfect, slow-burning suspense that great thrillers thrive on. And if the dark, moody atmosphere of Morthal is done right, the power of this movie could be unmatched.
