Peacock 's new hit is the crime series Long Bright River, starring Amanda Seyfried. The show follows two very different sisters who find themselves embroiled in a dangerous investigation.

A police squad bursts into Eddie Miller's cozy home. The man, his wife, Manda, and daughter, Lisa, are ordered to lie face down on the floor. But the officers' main interest is in 13-year-old Jamie, the Millers' son.
He looks like a harmless teenager. But when he is arrested, his parents are told that Jamie is the prime suspect in the murder of his classmate.
Adolescence premiered on Netflix on March 13, but has already managed to earn a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and become one of the platform's most high-profile releases this year.
2. Criminal Record, 2024

Two police officers from different generations clash over new evidence in a long-closed case. A frightened woman called London's emergency services. Her boyfriend was threatening her with a knife, saying he had killed a woman ten years ago and got away with it.
The victim's husband was jailed for that murder. The young Sergeant June Lenker hopes to restore justice and turns to the experienced Inspector Daniel Hegarty for help.
An irreconcilable conflict between them immediately flares up. Lenker is certain that Hegarty is being devious, deliberately slowing down the investigation and hiding important evidence.
3. Under the Banner of Heaven, 2022

Under the Banner of Heaven is a semi-biographical series based on the chronicle of criminal events that took place in the 80s in Utah. Then two Mormons, brothers Ron and Dan Lafferty, brutally murdered their daughter-in-law Brenda and her daughter.
It was later revealed that the crime was committed "at the behest of God" – allegedly a voice from above haunted Dan for several months before the tragedy. Under the Banner of Heaven focuses on the character of religious detective Jeb, who investigates the murder.
4. Under the Bridge, 2024

Under the Bridge is an adaptation of Rebecca Godfrey's novel based on a true crime story.
In 1997, a group of schoolgirls in the Canadian town of Saanich brutally murdered Reena Virk, a girl from an Indian immigrant family. While working on the book, Godfrey studied police records and interrogation reports of the 14-year-old suspects.
According to the plot, journalist Rebecca returns to her hometown of Saanich to write a book about girls in a boarding school. On the day of her arrival, Reena Virk goes to a party and never returns home. Her body is found under a bridge, and police officer Cam takes up the case.
5. A Man on the Inside, 2024

A Man on the Inside is based on the documentary The Mole Agent by Chilean director Maite Alberdi. A lonely retiree, Charles, mourning the death of his wife, answers a strange ad in the newspaper.
A former university professor is hired by private detective Julie to move into a retirement home and find a thief who stole an expensive ruby necklace from one of the residents.
A Man on the Inside is reminiscent of Ted Lasso in its good-natured tone, and the investigation, filled with hilarious episodes, makes the show similar to Only Murders in the Building. The detective intrigue is simple, but Charles meets the amazing residents of the nursing home and regains the desire to live.
