Yes, you’ve certainly seen this face before.

Although there are a lot of comedic actors known for their sitcom roles, like Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper or Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, there are also a lot of actors who bounce around from project to project, leaving their mark on an entire genre without being too tied to one role.

You may recognize their faces, but you can't quite remember when or where you saw them.

Here are five actors you might be surprised to learn have more sitcom titles in their filmographies than you've probably seen.

1. David Neher

Widely known as Community ’s Todd, the actor didn’t stop at that and appeared on many more comedic shows as the ‘always bullied’ type of a guy. The list of his titles includes such hits as Modern Family, New Girl, and How I Met Your Mother, as well as some newer productions like A.P. Bio.

2. Wendie Malick

Despite being a former fashion model, Malick leaned into her funny side and built up quite a successful sitcom career for herself. You may have seen the actress in such comedy series as Hot in Cleveland, American Housewife, and Just Shoot Me! She’s also made an appearance in The Big Bang Theory ’s spinoff, Young Sheldon.

3. Judy Greer

The actress that is most known for her supporting movie roles has made quite a few TV sitcom appearances. Greer had roles in How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Arrested Development, and The Big Bang Theory, as well as a little less known shows, like Reboot and I'm Sorry.

4. Rob Riggle

Before moving toward sitcoms, Riggle has made himself a name as a Saturday Night Live’s cast member and a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show. However, this was only the beginning of his comedic journey, continued by The Office, Arrested Development, Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and New Girl.

5. Paget Brewster

Though her breakthrough role as Criminal Minds ’ Emily Prentiss is far from comedic, the actress did not let herself get stuck in one genre. Instead, she’s chosen to show off her funny side too, by appearing on such projects as Community, Family Guy, and How I Met Your Father. You may also be surprised to learn Brewster started her career as Friends’ Kathy.
