Sometimes a good thing should be left in the past. This notion is especially true for all the countless movie and show reboots that have plagued Hollywood for the past two decades or so.

Is it so hard to understand that fans don't want to see their favorite shows ruined for the sake of greedy producers?

It's pretty obvious why major networks keep trying to reboot their once-popular shows – after all, these projects once made them millions of dollars, so why not try to make a little more by slightly updating the original formula?

What the producers seem to completely overlook is that fans don't like to see their childhood shows rebooted without any care, as it seems like the only reason to bring back a beloved character is for the money.

And while some shows, like Magnum P.I., have managed to build their own fanbases, most TV reboots fall flat on their faces the moment they premiere. The reboots of "Charmed, " "Knight Rider," and "Murphy Brown" were all commercial disasters, and fans really thought that their quick cancellations might help producers learn that the whole reboot craze was dead on arrival.

But alas, it looks like we are going to be stuck with a whole bunch of half-baked reboots already in development.
