What Will Tarantino's 10th Movie Be About? 10 Best Fan Theories

Quentin Tarantino’s final movie might not get a confirmation for another couple of years, so here’s some wishful thinking from the director’s fans who have all their ideas laid out for Tarantino to choose from.
It was almost a personal tragedy for Quentin Tarantino’s fans when he made a sudden U-turn and scrapped The Movie Critic’s script back in 2024.
The director has given an explanation just recently, saying that he felt like he needed a completely different story and not something linked to any of his previous projects.
While it’s not really clear whether Tarantino has already come up with something for his tenth movie, the director’s fans are out there to suggest their own ideas — here are some of the best ones.
‘Battle Royale’ Remake Starring All Survivors From Tarantino’s Movies
Since the Japanese thriller is Tarantino’s forever favorite that he acknowledged he’d love to replicate in some way in his own career, some of the directors fans thought about a possible storyline for Tarantino’s tenth movie similar to Battle Royale.
“The survivors of all his previous movies get together and have a battle Royale, winner gets the Pussy Wagon”, Redditor Chewy79 revealed in a thread.
A Slasher Horror Movie
Tarantino didn’t pay that much attention to the genre throughout his career, so it might be that he just hasn’t yet realised his potential, according to some fans.
“The slasher genre could easily diminish Tarantino style and talent, but maybe not. If he took on the challenge it would be awesome to get a new 2020s look into slasher in the hands of someone like Tarantino”, RandyIsWriting wrote.
‘Reservoir Dogs’ Remake
Tarantino’s cult classics that marked his directorial career debut, Reservoir Dogs might also become the basis for its creator’s last movie, making it all a full circle.
“I would be intrigued to see a modern take on Reservoir Dogs. The original is a true classic, so seeing his take on it after a few decades of making movies, with the budget and cast he has available nowadays could be very interesting”, Nrysis commented.
A Film Geek Movie
As a movie geek himself, Tarantino might be lacking something that would pay homage to what he has been doing all his life.
“He needs to do a film geek movie. Maybe a reworking of Fade To Black (1980). How about a hitman that loves movies and dresses like his favorite film characters as he does hits. Or she lol!” VideoGuy1X suggested.
A Biopic About Rasputin
Just like completely changing Sharon Tate’s tragic fate in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Tarantino could do the same to another real-life figure — and a much more sinister one.
“A deep dive into the "biography" of Rasputin. But he will survive all of it, and he lives a happy bachelor life”, Radagast-Istari chimed in.
A Crime Drama With Tarantino’s Favorite Cast
Some fans don’t think Tarantino would go as far as tackling a new genre in his final movie, suggesting that he would be directing yet another crime drama starring John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Steve Buscemi, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth and others.
A James Bond Movie
Despite Denis Villeneuve now helming the next James Bond movie, Tarantino could wait out a couple of years to bring something new into the franchise himself.
“He once said he wanted to do a James Bond film. I think he would give a unique twist to the genre”, Scat_fiend wrote.
Something About Vega Brothers
Some of Tarantino’s diehard fans also remembered about the director’s past idea of making some sort of a prequel to Pulp Fiction, now centring on Vega Brothers only.
“Vega Brothers, with unknowns playing Vincent and Vic”, flibbidygibbit commented.
A Sci-Fi Movie
As a director who hasn’t yet touched the soul of the sci-fi genre, Tarantino could in fact go into the uncharted territory by making something outlandish in his next film.
“Sci-fi Tarantino would be incredible. But honestly, whatever he wants to make will breed something fantastic”, another user wrote.
A Movie Tarantino Finishes Before He Dies
While the director has been defending the idea of ten movies only by saying that this idea allows him to not disperse his talent on wasteful projects, many of Tarantino’s fans still think of the whole thing as something limiting rather than liberating.
“My ideal final film is whatever film he finishes before he dies. Be it his 10th, 15th, or 100th. I’ve always hated his self imposed limit”, Adequate_Images commented.
