7 Most Shocking Deaths in ‘Wednesday’, Ranked by How Gruesome They Are

There might be even more victims by the time Netflix’s Wednesday reaches its second season’s volume 2, so here’s a list of the characters that never made it to the next instalment (but somehow might still return).
Wednesday’s Nevermore Academy isn’t just about studies and improving your supernatural powers as the arrival of the eponymous character has definitely caused a mess in the school for outcasts.
The sophomore season’s second half is yet to reveal whether Wednesday’s visions about Enid’s death would become true after all, but so far there’s a pretty long list of characters that met their shocking end sometime in the series.
In case you need a reminder about those major figures that you (probably) won’t see in Wednesday anymore, here’s our list of the most disgusting deaths Netflix’s show has come up with so far.
7. Augustus Stonehurst
The founder of the LOIS program, Augustus spends his final days in Willow Hill alongside his daughter Judi who, despite her friendly looks, turns out to be the biggest villain that Wednesday is yet to face.
When the chaos unfolds after Wednesday releases all the outcasts imprisoned in the asylum, Augustus is left unattended as he isn’t able to move on his own anymore.
This is when Pugsley’s pet zombie Slurp finds him and eats his brain up after calling him an “old friend”. Though now Augustus is very unlikely to return in the series, Slurp mentioning that he knew Augustus for a long time might bring something up about the latter’s experiments with the outcasts.
6. Ron Kruger
The leader of the Phoenix cadet group, Ron Kruger shows up alongside his team in the camp that was double-booked by him and the outcasts.
After surviving the battle for the right to stay in the camp, Ron and his team lose, but still plan to take control by invading the camp at night. Ron later decides to enter Pugsley’s tent where Slurp is hiding, resulting in the latter eating up Kruger’s brains.
5. Rowan Laslow
Wednesday’s fake friend from season 1 and a Nevermore student with the power of telekinesis, Rowan might have been the one who started the whole mess in the school and prompted Wednesday to begin her own investigation.
Having spent quite some time trying to get as close to Wednesday as possible, Rowan reveals her his plan to kill her since this is what his mother told him to do, but right before he’s attacked by a monster that disembowels him.
4. Dr. Rachael Fairburn
Despite the character initially giving the obvious villain vibe, Dr. Fairburn eventually proved herself to be a nice person trying her best to help those locked up in Willow Hill.
As the one responsible for keeping Tyler away from people, she let Wednesday talk to him and then asked Laurel about the ways she could possible console Tyler with. However, Dr. Fairburn isn’t going to try and finish her failed mission as the chaos in Willow Hill kills her as well, with Slurp getting to her brains.
3. Laurel Gates aka Marilyn Thornhill
Proved to be alive after her mysterious plot twist in the first season, Laurel also appears in Willow Hill as one of the inmates and eventually makes her way to Tyler who isn’t really happy to see her.
When all outcasts are set free from the hospital’s asylum, Tyler transforms into the Hyde and makes it clear that he’s willing to kill Laurel despite her being his master, though he gives her a chance to escape. However, he still catches up with Laurel and crashes her.
2. Sheriff Donovan Galpin
Tyler’s father might not be the one that everyone expected to die this season, especially in the way he actually did.
Just after he reveals he started believing what Wednesday has been saying all along, Sheriff Donovan is attacked in his house by a swarm of crows that eat his eyes out and leave him to suffer before dying in pain.
Sheriff Donovan is one of several victims of the Avian since he has also been investigating the secret LOIS program.
1. Larissa Weems
Gwendoline Christie’s character first seemed to be a villain too, but then quickly turned into everyone’s favorite, which is why her death was a shocking outcome of the entire mess at the school in season 1.
After making Marilyn Thornhill expose her real identity, Larissa, first disguised as Tyler, is attacked by Marilyn and poisoned plunged into her neck.
Though she appeared pretty much dead after that, some fans believe Principal Weems might be returning in Wednesday’s upcoming episodes. This, however, doesn’t make her death any less tough to watch.
