Alicia Vikander Shares Challenging Experience Filming 'Anna Karenina' in Russia’s Cold Wilderness

One of Alicia Vikander's most memorable experiences during the production of Anna Karenina was filming in the remote countryside outside St. Petersburg, Russia.

The shoot took place amid brutal winter conditions, with temperatures plummeting below -40 °C. Despite the extreme cold, Vikander endured five days staying in a rustic cabin that lacked hot water and was furnished with only benches instead of beds, making her stay physically demanding and challenging.
