Go away, you're not her lobster!

Friends has a legacy of introducing us to some of the most compelling couples ever seen on television. There is Ross and Rachel, Monica and Chandler (Monica and Richard, too, by the way), even Phoebe and Mike became fan favorites in no time.

These are the main couples of the show. But when it comes to the short-term relationships of our main characters, there are not so many kind words to use. While there have been guys like Phoebe's scientist boyfriend Davis, there have certainly been others much worse than him. Take Mark, for example!

The die-hard Ross and Rachel fans never loved him, relying on Ross' intuition. The thing is, the day Mark introduced himself into Rachel's life, he became enemy number 1 to her real boyfriend. Ross never believed that Mark's intentions were pure and innocent. And Rachel should have believed him...

The most attentive fans finally realized after several rewatches that all the nice things Mark did were just to get closer to Rachel and win her over. He even tried to fool us with this meaningless relationship at work with her co-worker, but we didn't buy it, and neither did Ross.

The tip of the iceberg was the time he invited himself over to Rachel's house when he found out that Ross and Rachel had had a fight on their anniversary and had decided to take a break.

Remember when Ross called her and wanted to apologize and start over? Well, that all went down in flames when he heard Mark in the background asking Rachel something about juice. Fans are sure he did it all on purpose.

“He was trying to cause trouble when he called initially. He knew it was their anniversary, but he decided to call about some asinine thing that could've waited until the next day. Wouldn't have taken a genius to know Ross didn't like him, so he had to know that when his voice popped up on the answering machine it would've caused some sort of conflict,” Redditor walkinglost said.

Of course, Ross should have never slept with another woman the minute he thought Rachel was cheating on him. Working on his trust issues instead would have been a much better decision.
