The 'Star Wars' new content has recently been slammed by old-school fans, but it look like 'Andor' is a pleasant exception.

'Andor ', a Star Wars spinoff following the story of Cassian Andor, is about to premiere on September 21, but it has already received a warm welcome from fans who were genuinely surprised by how good the show seems to be.

According to those who have already seen the first episodes of the show before the official release, 'Andor' is by far "the most intelligent Star Wars story". People applaud the show's maturity and compelling storytelling that appears to illustrate that Disney might have actually learned from the mistakes fans highlighted in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi '.

"#Andor is NOT what I expected. It's a mix of STAR WARS UNDERWORLD and LORD OF THE FLIES, an odd pairing that works. Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw and Stellan Skarsgård give standout performances. It's action-packed, yet a slow burn and I can't wait to see how it ends," social media critic bigscreenleaks noted.

The Collider editor Maggie Lovitt praised the show for being "unlike any Star Wars story that we've seen before". According to her, the show masterfully delves into the "stunning and dangerous world in turmoil".

Murphy's Multiverse's Charles Villanueva noted that 'Andor' is more similar to 'Blade Runner' than to 'Star Wars', which is a "complete tonal departure for the franchise".

Looks like the shift was a good thing for the universe after all, because many people are now ready to give Disney-led Star Wars universe another chance after the disappointment that 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' gave them.

"I'm absolutely blown away by the audacity of #ANDOR. We often have to say "Star Wars has always been political" to counter people who would deny that fact. Well this show is actively angry at the people denying it. Audacious, timely, raw, & exceedingly thoughtful. Powerful work," host of Star Wars podcast 'Alch to Radio' Alden Diaz tweeted.

However, in order for fans to see for themselves, they will have to wait until the official premiere of 'Andor' on Disney Plus. The release is scheduled for September 21.
