The Idea Of You is set to be released in theaters on March 18 and on Prime Video on May 2. The plot is based on — fans alert — Harry Styles fanfiction.

Anne Hathaway portrays Solène, a single mom in her forties who suddenly gets involved in a romance with a young musician Hayes Campbell, played by Galitzine, who appears to be “the hottest boy band leader on the planet”.

As Solène struggles to keep her life together while organizing a trip to Coachella Music Festival for her teenage daughter and also dealing with her ex who reappears out of nowhere, she also has to overcome serious challenges in her relationships with Hayes as the latter is starting to rise to fame.

The script was elaborated by Michael Showalter, who is also directing, and Jennifer Westfeldt — both took the novel of the same name by Robinne Lee as their primary source. Anne Hathaway is also producing her new film alongside the author of the novel Robinne Lee.

At the film premiere on March 16, Hathaway couldn’t resist her emotions while thanking fans for showing her new project so much love, adding that she considers this kind of responsiveness as a pure gift.
