The upcoming premiere better not be that messy.

Blake Lively’s recently-announced new movie might give her a long-awaited break from the scandalous trial with former co-star Justin Baldoni, but also equally might make things even worse.

A sequel to Lively’s hit mystery drama A Simple Favor, Another Simple Favor is finally being released, having just received its premiere at SXSW on March 7 before eventually coming to Prime Video on May 1.

The highly anticipated continuation of the beloved story surely made many fans’ day even brighter than it could ever be, but also led to some old rumours resurfacing, and that’s another major issue for Lively.

Rumors Suggest Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick Might Have Been Feuding on A Simple Favor Set

Talks about the whole matter started going viral during the movie’s press tour back in 2018, when someone who also worked on the film allegedly stated that Lively and Kendrick weren’t even speaking to each other after the filming was wrapped up.

Additionally, many started speculating soon after, and others stated that it was quite possible that the actresses weren’t just cold with one another, but rather hated each other.

They thus forced studio execs to sit down for a talk with both actresses, urging them to at least make it look like they did like each other and just for the time of the ongoing press tour. Apparently, that wasn’t an option, and some saw certain hostility between Lively and Kendrick even on the red carpet.

A Simple Favor Cast and Crew Denies Feud Rumours

Since Blake Lively has been considered quite a problematic actress to work with, many easily believed that there could indeed be some tension between both actresses on the movie set.

However, both films’ director Paul Feig responded to an already deleted post on X urging fans to not believe everything that’s said about Lively in social media.

A Simple Favor’s star Henry Golding also revealed he hadn’t noticed any feud, stating that Lively and Kendrick even seemed to be getting along quite well.

The upcoming press tour for Another Simple Favor might show who was right after all.
