Brilliant American Horror Story Theory Links Delicate to Past Seasons, Hints at Anna's Grim Fate
It turns out that there are clues to the end of the season all over the place.
- American Horror Story Season 12 tells about Anna who is desperate to have a child and when she finally gets pregnant, strange things start happening.
- Since the two women in black are probably witches who may be members of a mysterious cult, Delicate could be linked to Seasons 3 and 7.
American Horror Story is like a school friend you haven’t seen for years: it keeps reminding us that it still exists. In the twelfth chapter, all forces are thrown into refreshing the anthology and fueling the curiosity of the audience – even the most passionate of AHS fans were beginning to get tired of the long-running show.
For the first time in the history of the series, the plot of the season has an original source – the novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine.
What is AHS: Delicate About?
Actress Anna is one step away from long-awaited recognition – an indie film that her publicist and friend Siobhan persuaded her to sign on for turns out to be an unexpected success.
Anna and her husband are desperate to have a child, so they visit a famous fertility doctor and, not for the first time, decide to undergo IVF. But as soon as Anna becomes pregnant, her husband's dead exes, strange women in black and demonic midwives begin to appear around her.
Fan Theory Claims Delicate Has Links To Previous Seasons
Although at first glance Delicate has nothing in common with the previous seasons, one fan theory suggests that it may be connected to seasons three and seven, Coven and Cult.
At the beginning of the fourth episode, we are transported back to 1555, where Mary I gives birth to a child. However, the child she gave birth to turned out to be a demonic monster that was taken away by two women in black. As it turns out, Mary promised her firstborn to ensure that her reign over England would be prosperous.
Those who like to watch horror movies immediately understood that this was a typical deal with the devil, a storyline that has been used almost since the birth of the horror genre.
But what's most interesting is that the same women in black who took Mary's child appear in our days, only this time as representatives of the PR team that has to correct Anna's public image.
Everyone was surprised by the success of the movie where Anna starred, but everything turned out to be simple – in the same fourth episode, viewers learned that Siobhan made a deal with the devil so that the movie would bring success to its director and her lover Hamish, and subsequently to Siobhan herself and Anna.
Considering all the strange things that are happening to poor Anna, Siobhan apparently promised her child as payment, and Anna's firstborn will most likely be taken away at the end of the season, just as Mary's child was.
The women in black may well turn out to be witches, servants of Satan, which ties Delicate to the "witch" seasons three and seven, and the birth of a demonic child links it to the Apocalypse, where the coming of the Antichrist was promised, who may also turn out to be Anna's baby.
Anna Could Repeat Rosemary's Fate
Season 12's obvious connection to Rosemary's Baby also supports this theory. According to the plot of Roman Polanski's movie, Rosemary's husband makes a deal with the devil – he gets a successful acting career in exchange for Rosemary's child, who is born as Satan's son.
We will find out what fate awaits Anna and her child, and whether she will repeat the fate of Rosemary, only in the second part of the season, which will be released in 2024.
