The strikes waged by members of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA labor unions were unprecedented in their duration and the breadth of their support across the country, leaving the entertainment industry still trying to recover three months after actors reached a satisfactory contract with the AMPTP. And while streaming services have been the main refuge for viewers, releasing foreign-produced movies and TV series, traditional broadcasting television has fallen on hard times. But now we're looking forward to long-awaited premieres again!

The month of February was probably the richest in most intriguing returns and premieres of TV projects. Yes, in January we were treated to many great shows like NBC's procedural franchises Chicago One and Law & Order, but it was a month later that viewers were literally feasting with the release of new seasons of the acclaimed Abbot Elementary and The Good Doctor on ABC, Young Sheldon, Ghosts and Blue Bloods on CBS, as well as the return of many unscripted shows like American Idol, The Voice and Survivor.

But like we said, TV is just getting back on its feet, adding more and more new seasons of beloved shows, as well as presenting intriguing debuts to its midseason schedule. As such, March 2024 promises to be no less rich in exciting offerings. Let's take a look at the March schedules for Fox, ABC, NBC and CBS and see what's in store.

Which Premieres Should You Pay Special Attention To?

As we said, February turned out to be the richest month for TV releases, as networks during and after the strikes announced the postponement of many long-awaited fall series. In that regard, March appears to be a bit scarcer. And yet, that's what makes it so special this year: while Wednesday will be a traditional marathon of new episodes of Chicago One and Friday night has become the traditional time to watch new episodes of Blue Bloods, the rest of the days we'll be keeping a close eye on the intriguing March premieres, which we'll talk about in a moment.

Fox:

Fox regulars are in for a treat this month. Tuesday marks the premiere of the new season of The Cleaning Lady, a crime drama where Élodie Yung leads a double life as a single mother cleaning up crime scenes. Also not to be missed is the upcoming eleventh season of The Masked Singer: Nick Cannon, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg will return to the show, while Rita Ora will join the panel of judges. Meanwhile, Community fans can look forward to the return of the sitcom Animal Control, starring Joel McHale.

ABC:

ABC network also promises some very intriguing premieres in March. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear's 9-1-1, a procedural about LA first responders, returns for its seventh season. Fans of Shonda Rhimes-produced projects are also in for a treat: Grey's Anatomy returns for its twentieth season (in fact, it looks like Ellen Pompeo's character will appear in at least four different episodes), as will the seventh season of its spinoff, Station 19.

CBS:

Finally, if you're tired of scripted shows, in addition to The Voice and Survivor, as well as the upcoming The Masked Singer, you can expect another long-running iconic reality competition show, The Amazing Race. In Season 36, Phil Keoghan will once again host The Amazing Race, presenting a crazy race of thirteen couples determined to cross both continents of America to win a $1 million prize.
