Have you ever caught yourself watching a Youtuber or a television series specifically because you love complaining about and making fun of it? Me too! (Yes, I'm looking at you, Kar-Jenners!)

Some viewers are hyped to check out the new Criminal Minds reboot because they believe it's going to be great. Others are busy sharpening their plot-hole poking sticks in eager anticipation of the imminent disaster they feel is coming. Whatever a person's reason for watching, we wanted to share the recently announced episode schedule.

The reboot will premiere on November 24, 2022 with the title, "Just Getting Started." But wait, there's more—the show's debut will actually be a doubleheader. Episode 2, entitled "Sicarius," will immediately follow and the name alone is definitely intriguing.

Season 1 Episode 1 has a pretty self-explanatory name. This episode will likely just consist of establishing the characters' roles and explaining cast changes as needed. First episodes aren't usually enough to judge how well a show will perform.

With regards to the second episode, if your Latin is a little rusty (it is a dead language after all), "Sicarius" has been used for millennia and refers to a specialized group of assassins or murderers for hire. Obviously not "hired guns", since guns were yet to be invented, these killers dispatched victims using knives.

Biblical scholars might recognize the word from the battle of Masada or the person whose name was a derivative, Judas Iscariot. The title has this writer wondering if a BSU employee will betray a fellow agent as Judas did Christ. Since a few original cast members aren't participating in the reboot, this could be used as a way to explain their absence while also creating the opportunity to write a character back into the story.

Season 1 is slated to have a total of 10 episodes with tentative air dates. Even Criminal Minds purists who didn't want a reboot will hopefully check out the first two episodes before passing judgment. It's not easy to watch a long-running, much beloved show end, but spinoffs can be even more upsetting.

Whether you love the new series or hate it, you need to be well informed in order to argue your point. Give it a chance. Remember the advice of Chinese general Sun Tzu in his work The Art of War. To paraphrase, Sun Tzu tells us it is important to know ourselves and it is important to know our enemies. After all, how can a person hotly debate a show in Reddit threads without doing their homework first?
