DC Studios’ Future Projects: 'Supergirl' Screenwriter Also Tackles Teen Titans

Wonder Woman reboot, Paradise Lost & more.
Ana Nogueira, the screenwriter behind Supergirl, is also working on a new reboot of Wonder Woman for DC Studios. Additionally, she is reportedly set to pen a live-action adaptation of Teen Titans under the direction of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s Warner Bros. label. DC Studios has not issued any official comment regarding these developments.
This news follows the impressive box office performance of Gunn’s Superman, which has grossed over $409 million globally across two weekends. This film stands out as a rare bright spot for comic book movies, which have not enjoyed the same box office success as they did before the Covid pandemic.
DC Studios is also developing the HBO series Paradise Lost, set in Themyscira, Wonder Woman’s homeland.
Ana Nogueira began her career acting in shows such as The Michael J. Fox Show, The Vampire Diaries, and Hightown. Her first produced screenplay is for Supergirl, directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock from House of the Dragon. Based on Tom King’s graphic novel Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, the film is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026.
DC Studios is expected to make a major appearance at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday with the second season of HBO’s Peacemaker. Meanwhile, Marvel Studios remains focused on production for Avengers: Doomsday, currently in development.
